1. Introduction

1.1 Intended use

The motion detector has been designed to actuate a resistive load with a maximum
power consumption of 4A.
Automatic operation, mounted in deep flush-type box, dimensions 58mm x 60mm,
IP30 degree of protection with 230V / 50Hz AC or 12V DC depending on design.
The motion detector may only be used indoors.
It is not permitted to operate the motion detector in an unfavorable service
environment.
Unfavorable service environment encompasses areas subject to:
· Dampness or too high humidity
· Dust and flammable gases, vapors or solvents
· Storms or storm conditions, such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Any other use as decribed above will damage the motion detector or any applian-
ce plugged into it. Moreover this can result in other hazards, such as short circuit, fire,
electric shock, etc. The motion detector as a unit may not be modified or adapted. It
is absolutely necessary to observe the safety instructions.
