Maintenance

Read all instructions thoroughly. Be sure that you
understand all of the instructions and have the
necessary tools available before dismantling the puller.
Service Activity
Lubricate the drive chains.
Grease the drive chain shafts.
Inspect the chains and ratchet pawl.
Inspect the commutator brushes.
Electric shock hazard:
Disconnect the cable puller from
the power supply before servicing.
Failure to observe this warning could
result in severe injury or death.

2001-Series Easy Tugger Cable Pullers
Lubricating the Drive Chain (every 20 hours)
1. Remove the guard (62).
2. Lubricate the inside of the chain with 80W-90W
gear oil.
Schedule
3. Replace the guard.
every 20 hours
Greasing the Drivetrain Shafts (every 20 hours)
every 20 hours
Apply a multipurpose NLGI Grade 2 grease (such as
Mobil HP or Amoco Permalub) at the grease fitting (3).
every 40 hours
This fitting is located inside the capstan housing.
every 40 hours
