WARNING:
Danger of injury! Only attach the appliance parts when the appliance is
not connected to the power supply. Otherwise the machine might start
up and parts of your body, hair or pieces of clothing might be sucked in.
CAUTION:
Before assembling, make sure that the fitted nozzle suits the surface to
be cleaned. Do not clean e.g. any floors or objects with a brush with
rotating bristles that you would not clean without a second thought with
a conventional brush. Also observe the flooring manufacturer's recom-
mendations.
NOTE:
You might have to twist the parts when connecting them so they are
securely in place. Ensure that installed parts are secure by trying to pull
them apart.
1. Assemble the appliance and accessory parts depending on the surface
you want to vacuum clean (Fig. 1 – 15).
2. Ensure that the bypass vent is closed (Fig. 10).
3. If you use the telescopic tube (Fig. 3), set its length (Fig. 4).
4. If you use the floor nozzle (Fig. 5), set it to the floor to be vacuumed
(Fig. 6 carpet, Fig. 7 hard floor).

5. To vacuum delicate floors we recommend using the parquet brush
(Fig. 8) included with the vacuum cleaner. To use this attachment, at-
tach it to the telescopic tube (Fig. 8).
6. To vacuum hard floors with crevices we recommend using the hard
floor nozzle (Fig. 9) included with the vacuum cleaner. To use this at-
tachment, attach it to the telescopic tube (Fig. 9).
NOTE:
If the hard floor nozzle (Fig. 9) has become stuck to the floor, you can
reduce the suction power just as easily using the bypass vent (Fig.
10).
7. For upholstery, we recommend using the long crevice nozzle (Fig. 14)
included with the vacuum cleaner. To use this attachment, attach it to
the handle (Fig. 14).
8. For difficult-to-reach areas, we recommend using the long flexible
crevice nozzle (Fig. 15) included with the vacuum cleaner.
- To use this attachment, attach it to the handle.
- Comply with the following information in doing so:
NOTE:
When you use the long, flexible crevice nozzle, under certain
circumstances the pressure inside the vacuum cleaner might drop
too far thus triggering the safety valve. The signal for this is e.g. a
whistling noise (depending on the vacuum cleaner model) and
greatly reduced suction performance. In this case, depending on
the vacuum cleaner model and equipment, you have to reduce the
suction power or open the bypass vent (Fig. 10) until the valve no
longer triggers.
