    ADSL Internet connection for a private Ethernet or 802.11g/802.11b wireless network. The MR0-W8901G connects to an Ethernet LAN or computers via standard Ethernet ports. The ADSL connection is made using ordinary telephone line with standard connectors. Multiple workstations can be networked and connected to the Internet using a single Wide Area Network (WAN) interface and single global IP address.

    Chapter 3 Quick Installation Guide 3.1 Configure PC After you directly connect your PC to the MR0-W8901G or connect your adapter to a Hub/Switch which has connected to the Router, you need to configure your PC’s IP address. Follow the steps below to configure it.

Your ISP provides VPI (Virtual Path Identifier), VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier) settings to you. In this Device, you can totally setup 8 VCs on different encapsulations, if you apply 8 different virtual circuits from your ISP.

TCP MTU Option: Enter the TCP MTU as your desire. Dynamic Route: Select this option to specify the RIP (Routing Information protocol) version for WAN interface, including RIP1, RIP2-B and RIP2-M.

DHCP Server: Select Enabled, then you will see the screen below (shown in Figure 4-10). The Router will work as a DHCP Server; it becomes the default gateway for DHCP client connected to it.

A DHCP relay is a computer that forwards DHCP data between computers that request IP addresses and the DHCP server that assigns the addresses.

You can configure the rules to allow wireless-equipped computers and other devices to communicate with a wireless network. Access point: Select Activated to allow wireless station to associate with the access point.

A beacon is a packet broadcast by the Router to synchronize the wireless network. The default value is 100.
