Multi room

17.1

About Multi room

This TV supports the Multi room client function. To
use the multi room function, you will need to have
another TV that support the Multi room server
function.
You can watch a TV programme that is streamed from
another server TV in your home. The programme is
streamed from the server TV to the client TV. You can
also receive a recorded programme from the server
TV.
Note: Receiving a TV programme with Multi Room will
reduce the picture resolution to 720p maximum. You
cannot receive radio channels. Some broadcasters
may protect their programmes to prevent this kind of
streaming from the server TV.

What you need

To receive a TV programme from server TV, the
programme must come from a digital TV channel.
Both TVs must be connected to your wireless home
network. For more information,
press
Keywords and look up Wireless Network.
Make sure that both TVs have the setting Switch on
with Wi-Fi (WoWLAN) switched on in the TV setup.
To check this setting on this TV...
1 - Press  , select Network and press  (right) to
enter the menu.
2 - Select Switch on with Wi-Fi (WoWLAN) and
press OK.
3 - Select On and press OK.
4 - Press  (left) repeatedly if necessary, to close
the menu.

Using Multi room

First time use
When you start Multi room for the first time, switch on
both TVs.
Once this TV made a connection with the other TV,
the other one will appear automatically in
the Browse network menu even when it's in
standby.
Receive a TV channel
With Multi room, you can watch the current TV
channel or open the channel list of the server TV. If
you select a channel from the list, the other TV will
also switch to the channel you selected. If there is a
connected Hard Disc Drive (HDD) with recordings*,
you can also watch these on this TV. You cannot
switch channels while the server TV is recording or in
Pause TV mode.
To watch a TV channel from the server TV . . .
1 - Make sure the server TV is switched on.
2 - On this TV, press SOURCES,
select Network and press OK.
3 - If the TV is not yet connected to your home
network, the network installation will start
automatically. If the TV is already connected, go to
step 4.
4 - In the Network menu, select the name of the
server TV and press OK.
5 - Select what you want to watch from the TV . . .
• to watch the current channel of the server TV,
select Current channel and press OK.
• to open the channel list of the server TV,
select Watch TV and press  (Right).
• to open the list of recordings* on the server TV,
select Watch recordings and press  (Right).
• you can switch channels with  + and  -. You
cannot switch channels when the server TV
is recording or in Pause TV mode.
TV network name
If you have more than one TV in your home network,
you can give the TV a unique name.
To change the TV name...
1 - Press  , select Network and press  (right) to
enter the menu.
2 - Select TV network name and press OK.
3 - Enter the name with the on-screen keyboard.
4 - Select Done to confirm the change.
5 - Press  (left) repeatedly if necessary, to close
the menu.
