What is image retention?
When the LCD panel displays a static image for
an extended period of time, it can cause a voltage
difference between the electrodes that operate the
liquid crystals.
When the voltage difference between the
electrodes builds up over time, it makes the liquid
crystals thinner and a "ghost" image remains when
the pattern is changed.
How do I avoid image retention?
Avoid displaying a static image with high contrast.
Change images periodically.
