It provides information for the installation and use of the SuperServer 2027PR-DTR/DTFR/DTTR. Installation and maintainance should be performed by experienced technicians only. The SuperServer 2027PR-DTR/DTFR/DTTR is a high-end server based on the SC217HD+-R1K28B 2U rackmount chassis and the X9DRT-P/PIBF/PT dual processor serverboards.

System Power Each SC217 chassis model includes a high-effi ciency 94%+% Platinum certifi ed power supply, rated at 1280 Watts plus one redundant backup power supply. In the unlikely event your power supply fails, replacement is simple and can be accomplished without tools.

    Chapter 1: Introduction Air Shrouds The SC217 chassis includes two Mylar air shrouds that direct the airfl ow where cooling is needed on each serverboard. Particular attention should be given to power supply connections other than the direct connections to the branch circuit (i.e. the use of power strips, etc.).

    SUPERSERVER 2027PR-DTR/DTFR/DTTR USER'S MANUAL Locking Tabs Each inner rail has a locking tab. This tab locks the chassis into place when installed and pushed fully into the rack. These tabs also lock the chassis in place when fully extended from the rack. This prevents the server from coming completely out of the rack when when the chassis is pulled out for servicing.

    Chapter 3: System Interface Chapter 3 System Interface Overview There are several LEDs on the control panel and on the drive carriers to keep you constantly informed of the overall status of the system. SC217 models include four front panels on the handles of the chassis which control each of the systems. Connecting Data Cables The cables used to transfer data from the peripheral devices have been carefully routed in preconfi gured systems to prevent them from blocking the fl ow of cooling air that moves through the system from front to back.
