Connecting a Digital Video Camera
Two types of FireWire connectors are commonly used: a 4-pin and
a 6-pin. The DuoConnect for Notebooks adapter contains one 6-pin
and one 4-pin connector; digital video cameras use 4-pin
connectors. To connect a digital video camera to your DuoConnect
for Notebooks adapter, use a 6-to-4 pin FireWire cable.
To connect a digital video camera:
1 Connect the 6-pin connector end of a FireWire cable to the
FireWire port on your DuoConnect for Notebooks adapter.

2 Carefully insert the smaller, 4-pin connector end of the FireWire
cable into the FireWire port on your digital video camera.

Caution: Ensure that the connector and the port are properly
aligned to avoid bending and damaging the pins in the port.
