Note
With a hanging chain arrangement:
The cables are longer in operation.
• Ensure that there is more play "X" than that specified in assembly
step 3.
• Check the length of the cables after a short operating period and adjust,
if necessary.
6. Fitting the cables in power supply chains
1. Lay the chain out in length.
2. Lay the cables without twisting in the links of the chain. Lay or hang out
the cables first, if necessary.
3. Lay the cables loose next to each other in the chain links, if possible
separated from each other by separator links or holes. Observe the play
"X" of cables of 10% of the cable diameter "D". Avoid arrangements with
cables on top of each other if separator links are not used.

4. After laying the cables, arrange the chain in the work position.
5. Make sure that the cables are not bent to a radius less than the permitted
bending radius "R".
6. Make sure that the cables can move freely in the bending radius "KR",
the cables must not be forced through the chain.
7435d_4
7. Leave the cables unfastened in the chain, i.e. do not tie the cables to-
gether.
8. Fasten the cables on both ends of the chain
(see fig. below left).
9. With long power supply chains in which the upper drum lies on the lower
drum, fasten the cables only at the driver end (see fig. below right).
10. Make sure that the cables cannot be moved up to the fastening point.
Make sure that the distance from the end point of the bending movement
to the fastening is as large as possible. At least, however, fastening
distance "A".
