When you turn on the device, the soft buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen.
The soft buttons are set to the Recents button, Home button, and Back button by
default. Refer to

Installing the battery

Remove the back cover.
Be careful not to damage your fingernails when you remove the back cover.
Do not bend or twist the back cover excessively. Doing so may damage the
cover.
