Messages

Follow the instructions below if a message appears in the display.
Message
ACCESS
AVLS (blinks)
CANNOT PLAY
DATA ACCESS
DRM ERROR
FILE ERROR
FORMAT ERROR
Meaning
This message appears
after disconnecting the
player from the computer,
activating "File Disp
Language" (  page 23),
"Reset All Settings" ( 
page 48) or resetting the
player (  page 62).
The volume level exceeds
the rated value while
"AVLS" is enabled.
 The player cannot play
certain files because of
incompatible formats.
 Transferring has been
interrupted forcefully.
 A copyright-protected
file has been detected.
Accessing the built-in
flash memory.
The player cannot play
copyright-protected files.
 The file cannot be read.
 The file is not usable.
 The player is disconnected
from the computer while
transferring audio files.
The built-in flash memory
was formatted on a
computer.
Remedy
This is not an error
message. Wait until the
message disappears.
Turn the volume down or
disable "AVLS" (  page
37).
 Check that songs are in
a playable file format
(  page 80).
 If the songs which
cannot be played are
unnecessary, erase them
from the built-in flash
memory.
 Transfer the usable
audio files back to your
computer and format
the built-in flash
memory on the player
(  page 49).
Please wait for access to
complete. This message
appears while the built-in
flash memory is being
accessed.
