2e. Removal and Replacement of Gear Motor
1) Remove the bolts securing the lower housing to the gear motor. Lift the evaporator up
slightly.
2) Remove the gear motor bolts.
3) Disconnect the wiring from the gear motor, then lift the evaporator up slightly and
remove the gear motor.
4) Remove the spline coupling from the old gear motor and attach to the new gear motor.
5) Place the new gear motor in its correct position and secure.
6) Connect the gear motor wires.
7) Lower the evaporator down and secure the lower housing to the gear motor.
8) Replace the drip ring, cutter/agitator, and storage bin top cover in their correct positions.
Confirm all water hose connections are secure.
9) Move the control switch to the "ICE" position, then replace the panels in their correct
positions. On the push-button model, reconnect the push-button switch wire connectors.
10) Plug the appliance back into the electrical outlet, then move the power switch to the
"ON" position to start the automatic icemaking process.
