This transce iver has been specifically designed for
ease of operatio n an d versatility . The operator
m ay , however, be unfamiliar with the operation
of the controls, and improper adjustment thereo f
m ay result in p o o r transceiver perform ance. Thus,

The MODE switch has six positions for selection
of the operating mode desired : LSB, USB , CW ,
FSK, AM , or FM.

Th e WIDTH control varies the signal across the
p assban d of one o f the t wo IF 8-pole crystal band­
p ass filters used in this circuit, thus providing a
variable I F bandwidth for rejection o f signals above
o r below the desired signal.

EXT
When pushed, the EXT b utton transfers frequency
control from the FT-9 0 1 DM to an external VFO ,
such as the FV-9 0 1 fully syn thesized scanning
VFO .

When the VFO button is pushed, frequen cy c on­

trol is transfered from EXT or memory con trol t o
the FT-9 0 1 DM in te rn al VFO.

TX-MR-RX
Once a frequency h as been stored by the memory
(M) button, that frequency may be recalled for
control o f either the transmit or receive frequency
by pushing e ither the TX or RX MR button ,
re sp ectively .

Once a frequency h as been stored by the memory
(M) button, that fre quency may be recalle d for
control of the transceive frequency by pushing
the MR button .
