The machine was making ice regularly. I cleaned the machine and when I go to make ice. It makes maybe 10 pieces and than makes a clicking sound and shuts off. I turn it back on. It drops about 10 pieces and shuts back off again. Water is in the reservoir. I’ve unplugged it for 5 minutes and plugged it back in and it’s still doing it.

The clicking sound could be caused by the release of the first nuggets of ice into the bin, which are the loudest. As the bin fills, the sound of ice dropping reduces. If the unit shuts off after producing a few pieces of ice, it may be due to insufficient water in the reservoir, requiring a refill. It is also recommended to ensure proper installation clearance (4 inches on sides and back) and to check if the unit has stabilized after initial setup.

No, it’s not the ice dropping. It’s inside the machine. Like it’s trying to make ice and there’s no water. The reservoir is almost full. It hasn’t even used any due to filling it back up after I cleaned it. The machine is in the same spot it’s been in. I didn’t have any of these issues until I cleaned the machine. I pressed the cleaning button, once it was done, I unplugged the machine, I emptied the water from the back tubbing. I plugged the machine back in. Refilled the machine with water and pressed the ice button. It starts like it always has, drops 10-15 pieces, starts making a clicking sound and the whole machine powers off. I turned the machine back on, it dropped maybe 10-15 more piece, started clicking and shuts back off.

I just got my machine and I tried to run the cleaning cycle. I turned it on and pressed the cleaning button and it comes on for about 5 seconds then it shuts off. There is plenty of water in it.

A possible reason for the Personal Chiller K4024SS cleaning cycle shutting off after 5 seconds is that the water reservoir may contain soap or inappropriate cleaning agents. The manual clearly states "DO NOT USE SOAP IN THE WATER RESERVOIR." Using soap or other non-recommended substances can interfere with the cleaning cycle operation.

Your Personal Chiller K4024SS ice maker may not be producing ice after cleaning and refilling due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. Unit Not Plugged In or Powered On: Ensure the unit is plugged in and turned on after cleaning. 2. Reservoir Not Properly Filled: The reservoir must have enough clean, fresh water added after cleaning. 3. Improper Draining or Flushing: If the unit was not fully drained or flushed, leftover residue or air in the system may prevent proper operation. 4. Clean Cycle Not Completed Correctly: The Clean Cycle must be activated by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds, and completed before adding water for ice-making. 5. Not Waiting Long Enough: Ice production may take up to 10 minutes. Wait and check if ice begins to form.
Check each of these steps to ensure proper setup after cleaning.

If the panel board and buttons on your Personal Chiller K4024SS ice maker are not working, follow these steps:
1. Check Power Connection – Ensure the unit is plugged into a 115V, 60Hz properly grounded outlet. Avoid using extension cords or adapters. 2. Verify Power Button – Press the Power Button once to turn the appliance on. 3. Inspect Circuit – Make sure the ice maker is connected to its own circuit and that the power outlet is functioning. 4. Reset the Unit – Unplug the unit, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in. 5. Check Indicator Lights – If no lights are on, the unit may not be receiving power. 6. Ensure Proper Water Levels – Low water levels may prevent operation; check and refill the reservoir if needed.
If the issue persists, the unit may require service.
