9 Warning
It is dangerous to get out of the
vehicle if the parking brake is not
firmly applied. The vehicle can roll.
Do not leave the vehicle when the
propulsion system is running, the
vehicle may move suddenly. You
or others can be injured. To be
sure the vehicle will not move,
even if the vehicle is on a level
surface, always apply the parking
brake and select N.
Reverse gear R
Use this gear to reverse.
To shift into and out of R:
1. Bring the vehicle to a complete
stop.
2. To shift into R, depress the brake
pedal and press R.
To shift out of R, depress the
brake pedal and shift into the
desired gear.
Caution
Shifting into R while the vehicle is
moving forward could damage the
electric drive unit. Only shift into
R after the vehicle has been
stopped.
Drive mode D
This position is for forward driving.
Caution
If the vehicle seems to accelerate
slowly or not respond when trying
to go faster, do not continue the
journey. The electric drive unit
could be damaged. Consult a
workshop as soon as possible.
Driving and operating

Manual transmission

To engage reverse, depress the
clutch pedal, pull the ring under the
selector lever and move the selector
lever quite to the left and front.
If the gear does not engage, set the
selector lever to neutral, release the
clutch pedal and depress again. Then
repeat gear selection.
Do not slip the clutch unnecessarily.
When operating, depress the clutch
pedal completely. Do not use the
pedal as a foot rest.
