We are not coffee drinkers, but bought a K Express Essentials for guests who need coffee. Our Brother-in-law brewed a couple of cups earlier about 2-3 months ago, but the machine has been unused since and is very clean. A different BIL is in his way, and I was trying to run a cycle with the cleaner pod, and when I turn it on, all “oz” lights light up and stay solid until I raise and lower the K-cup handle, after which the lights flash and I can select “8 oz” as per instructions. I can hear it start up, but after a few seconds it shuts itself off. Power supply is fine - nothing else on that outlet.
If the Keurig K-Express Essentials shuts off after a few seconds when trying to run a cycle with a cleaner pod, try the following steps:
1. Clean the needles (both upper and lower) to ensure they are not clogged.
2. Run a descaling cycle, as the water pump works during this process.
3. Check for any blockages in the machine.
4. If the issue continues, avoid using a cleaner pod and try running a fresh water rinse without a pod to test the brewing function.
