  • Page 11 USE/OPERATION When using backhoe diggers, you should always strive for a more flexible technique. Flexibility is achieved by learning and mastering the control levers. Operate the machine only while seated at the control levers or inside the tractor. Any other method may result in personal injury or death.

When the unit is in position, lower the stabilisers to the ground. The tractor wheels should still be supporting most of the vehicle's weight, as the stabilisers only provide stabilising support and prevents the unit from moving or bouncing during operation. If the tractor is equipped with a front loader, lower it to the ground.
  • Page 13 When digging with the attachment, extend the boom arm away from the operator. Lower the arm and bucket and start digging. The bucket's teeth should be 30º to 45º to the ground. Once digging has started, bend the bucket until the cutter is horizontal to the ground. Pull the bucket towards the operator and operate the lever to keep the bucket at the correct level.
  • Page 14 EXCAVATION ON SLOPES When digging on slopes, always position the backhoe digger facing uphill if possible. It may be necessary to dig a level surface on the slope where you can set up the excavator for digging on the slope. Place excavated soil facing downhill. When excavating the actual hole, place excavated soil on the uphill slope.

AFTER USE Do not park with a suspended load but with the equipment resting on the ground. Wash down the equipment with water if necessary. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE Check that the work area is free from bystanders, children and objects before driving off. Always observe additional caution during transport and moving.
