Features • Analog audio output interface for the AUDIOFLEX bus of the UR2000 mounting frame from the TL2000 family. • AUDIOFLEX is a data bus that is formed by two lines: M2S (Master to Slave) and S2M (Slave to Master), that interconnect all the slots of a UR2000 mounting frame.

    • The DAB2008C01 module and the mounting frame should always be installed, maintained, operated and removed by personnel with sufficient technical qualifications. The equipment should never be placed in damp areas, near splashing liquid, or in explosive or corrosive atmospheres.

    1 - Remove the blank panel covering the front of the empty slot chosen for installing the DAB2008C01 in the mounting frame. 2 - Insert the DAB2008C01 module into the front of the mounting frame. The edges of the card slide into two plastic guides inside the mounting frame.

The front panel has not been designed to support mechanical stress. All cabling in the rack where the mounting frame is located should be properly supported so that the front panel does not provide mechanical support.

OPERATION This section describes the significance of the front panel indicators of the DAB2008C01 module and their remote control and monitoring ability. 4.1. Front panel description The appearance of the front panel and the elements it contains are shown in the following illustration.

    Slot 11 will take the eight audio channels from Time Slot 2, and so on. The DAB2008C01 signals an error when one of the audio channels in the AUDIOFLEX bus is not present. In Automatic Mode this same error is flagged if the base slot of the mounting frame and the position of the module in the frame try to generate a time slot that is outside the range of 1 to 8.
  • Page 17 The DAB2008C01 module performs the digital-to-analog conversion of the audio at 24 bits with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz and a full scale level of 22 dBu.

In order to perform remote configuration and supervision of the module an optional TL2000 family remote communications controller must be installed in the mounting frame.

    Albalá Ingenieros | Manual DAB2008C01 5. GLOSSARY AES/EBU This acronym covers the combined AES and EBU standard for transmission of digital audio. The standard defines a serial interface known as AES3 as per AES, EBU 3250-E as per EBU or ITU-R BS.647-2 as per ITU. The interface originally transmitted two channels (one pair) with PCM coding with a bit depth of 20 or 24 bit and a sampling frequency between 32 kHz and 192 kHz.
