Transmission of closing contact information within the 3G/HD/SD-SDI video signal. The HOP3147C02 can be used both to read the status of its eight GPI inputs and encode it into a video signal or to decode the information inserted by another HOP3147C02 and present it in the eight GPO outputs.

SNMP management and the ability to record events in a file including date and time information for further analysis. The HOP3147C02 is a TL3000 terminal line module and can be housed in a three rack unit (3 RU) UR3000 mounting frame or a 1 RU UR3100 mounting frame.
• Module control and supervision can be done remotely when the mounting frame is equipped with a communications controller module. • One UR3000 mounting frame can house up to 12 HOP3147C02 modules. If power supply redundancy is required and FA3000 or FA3001 modules are used then only 10 modules can be housed in the mounting frame.

The HOP3147C02 module is composed of two parts: one HDE3000P14 main board and one HDE3000P15 rear board. Both parts must be installed in a UR3000 or UR3100 mounting frame following the instructions in the corresponding section of this chapter.

The following figure shows the HOP3147C02 module rear board connector layout. Rear view of the HOP3147C02 The HOP3147C02 module has two 3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video inputs (IN-A, IN-B), four 3G/HD/SD-SDI digital video outputs (OUT1-A (LOOP), OUT2-A, OUT1-B, OUT2-B), eight GPI inputs and eight GPO outputs.
All coaxial cable used must be Belden 1694A or similar. This type provides the greatest lengths because it is used to calculate the equalizers in the HOP3147C02. Cables carrying signal between the module and the devices should use single piece construction, avoiding spliced sections with double BNC female or barrel connectors.

When the format of the incoming video signal is SD the HOP3147C02 inserts packets of reserved teletext in one or two vertical blanking interval lines of field 1 of the video signal as per ETSI ETS 300 706.

GPOs are deactivated. In either case the status of the GPOs is updated frame by frame. The HOP3147C02 allows blanking of the active video portion of two lines in SD or one line in HD/3G in order to delete any reserved teletext or OP47 packets previously inserted by another HOP3147C02 module.
4.2.5. Teletext bridge The HOP3147C02 can be used as a teletext bridge reading from the auxiliary input IN-B and inserting the teletext into the signal at input IN-A. Both video inputs accept all valid SD/HD/3G-SDI formats including non-synchronous sources and the module will synchronize the teletext packet insertion.
HOP3147C02 4.2.7. VITC-ATC bridge This is the second and final option in which the HOP3147C02 module uses the auxiliary input IN-B. In this mode the timecode information inserted in the incoming video at auxiliary input IN-B can be copied to the main input IN-A.

5. APPENDICES 5.1. Configuration of the HOP3147C02 in order to send SCTE 104 packets The HOP3147C02 can insert ancillary data packets into the SDI video signal in order to perform connections and disconnections as per SCTE 104. The commands being sent are generated using the splice_request parameterized operation as per SCTE 104 for immediate or delayed remote connection/disconnection.
