DUO plus child seat
To retain the protective effect
• After an accident at a collision speed of
above 10 km/h, there may be damage
to the child car seat which is not imme-
diately obvious. In this case, the child
car seat must be replaced. Please then
dispose of it professionally.
• Regularly check all important parts for
damage. Ensure the correct operation
of all mechanical components.
• Make sure that you have a damaged
child car seat inspected (e.g. after drop-
ping it).
• Take care to ensure that the child safe-
ty seat does not become trapped and
therefore damaged between hard
components (vehicle door, seat rail
etc.).
• Never lubricate or oil any part of the
child car seat.

To protect all vehicle passengers
• With all personal safety systems, it is es-
sential to ensure that the backrest of
the vehicle seat is adequately secured
and that no heavy or sharp-edged ob-
jects are carried in the passenger com-
partment (e.g. on the rear shelf) in order
to reduce any risk of injury.
• All occupants in the vehicle must also
be secured.
• The child seat must always be secured
in the vehicle, even when it is unoccu-
pied.
To protect your child
• In principle the following rule applies:
the closer the harness lies to the body
of the child, the better the protection.
• Use on the rear/compartment seats:
slide the front seat forward far enough
so that the child's feet do not contact
the backrest of the front seat (danger of
injury).
• Please do not leave your child alone
and unsupervised in the vehicle child
seat or in the vehicle itself.
• Ensure that your child only gets into and
out of the vehicle on the side where the
pavement is.
• To prevent your child from being ex-
posed to unnecessary heat, do not
leave the child safety seat in bright
sunshine when it is not in use.
• Take plenty of breaks during a long jour-
ney so that your child has plenty of op-
portunity to move around and use up
his/her energy.
