Warning notes
G
DANGER
After the seat backrest shell has been adjust-
ed, you must check whether the child re-
straint system is still secured and the
shoulder belts and seat belt buckle fit snugly
against the child's body. Otherwise the child
may not be properly secured and may be se-
riously or fatally injured in the event of an ac-
cident, sharp braking or sudden change in
direction. Observe the "Securing a child" sec-
tion.
G
WARNING
Your attention must always be focused on the
traffic conditions. Do not make any adjust-
ments to the child restraint system whilst
driving, otherwise it could lead to an accident
or endanger the child, other vehicle occu-
pants or other road users.

G
WARNING
If the child restraint system is exposed to di-
rect sunlight, parts may become very hot.
Children may burn themselves on these
parts, particularly the metal parts on the child
restraint system. There is a risk of an acci-
dent.
If you and your child leave the vehicle, make
sure that the child restraint system is not ex-
posed to direct sunlight. Protect it with a
blanket, for example. If the child restraint sys-
tem has been exposed to direct sunlight, al-
low it to cool before securing a child in it.
G
DANGER
Never leave children unattended in the vehicle.
Do not leave children unsupervised in the ve-
hicle if they are secured in a child restraint
system. The children could:
• injure themselves on parts of the vehicle
• open the doors and thereby injure them-
selves and others
• get out of the vehicle and injure them-
selves or be injured by a passing vehicle
• depending on the vehicle equipment, oper-
ate the power windows, the sliding sunroof
or the electric seat adjustment and injure
themselves or others
• be seriously or even fatally injured by pro-
longed exposure to heat.
