VL1600 PROFILE USER MANUAL DATA CABLES The luminaire is equipped with two, 5-pin XLR connectors for DATA IN and DATA THRU (out) applications. DATA IN requires a 5-pin, female XLR connector and DATA THRU requires a 5-pin, male XLR connector. When purchasing or constructing data cables, it is important that not only the correct cable type be used, but also quality cable to ensure a reliable DMX512 system.

VL1600 PROFILE USER MANUAL POWERING UP POWER-UP PROCEDURE When the luminaire is powered up for the fi rst time, the default setting is enabled and the lamp remains off . When AC power is applied, the luminaire immediately begins a calibration sequence that steps it through full pan and tilt movements.
VL1600 PROFILE USER MANUAL TRANSPORTING When shipping or transporting luminaires, Vari-Lite recommends that the luminaire(s) be suffi ciently protected against any (including, but not limited to) shock, vibration, drops, jarring, exposure to the environment, etc. Failure to suffi ciently protect any Vari-Lite luminaire during shipping or transportation will result in damage and void the luminaire’s warranty.
