Common Interface (cont.):
To access the Common Interface menu:
Press Menu, select CI.
The information available on the CI menu depends
on the CI module provider. Typically they will contain
subscription information such as subscription duration,
accessible programmes, maturity level, network
information etc. For more information, please consult
Your Pay-TV service provider.
On-screen messages:
Apart from the Common Interface menu, other on-screen messages may appear while in viewing
mode. Here are two examples:
When a message similar to the one on the right
appears, insert the appropriate SMART card to
access the channel.
Your SMART card cannot access the channel -
You may require a different SMART card for
this programme. You should note that these
messages come from the CI/SMART card
module and so will vary. Please refer to the
information provided with your Subscription /
CI module.
Sometimes the above screen may appear over a de-scrambled channel. This may be caused by
having two identical CI modules inserted but each with a SMART card from a different service provider
(for example: two Viaccess CI modules with one using a TPS SMART card and the other using an
ABSAT SMART card). In this case as a TPS channel is being accessed, the TPS SMART card will
de-scramble that channel but at the same time the ABSAT SMART card will display the 'NO ACCESS'
message on-screen. When this happens, press OK to cancel the message.
