T A K I N G R E A D I N G S Measuring and storing readings To begin the measurement process, press and hold the function key. The screen will display these symbols. Press the ON/OFF key to begin the measurement process. - Page 10 The user will be prompted to save the reading against identification number. At the identification number prompt, the digit ready to be altered will flash. To change the number, use the scroll key. To move to the next number, use the function key.

F u n c t i o n K e y M e n u User calibration Press and hold the left function key until ‘INIT’ appears. Use the right scroll key to reach ‘PASS’ then press ON/OFF key to select. Enter the default passcode ‘1001’... -

Allow the instrument to reset to zero gas reading. Press and hold the left function key until ‘INIT’ appears again. Use the right scroll key to find ‘TEST’ screen. The Instrument will say test fail or test pass depending on whether the result is within tolerance. -
