Playing Along with a Song Bank
Tune
Each Song Bank tune has a left-hand (accompaniment) part
and a right-hand (melody) part. You can turn off the left-hand
part or right-hand part of a Song Bank tune and play along
with the remaining part on the keyboard.

To play along with a Song Bank tune

Perform steps 1 through 4 under "To play back a
Song Bank tune" on page E-22 to select the song
you want to play along with.

Press the RIGHT ON/OFF or LEFT ON/OFF button
for the part you want to turn off.
• Press the RIGHT ON/OFF button to turn off the right
hand (melody) part, or the LEFT ON/OFF button to
turn off the left hand (accompaniment) part.
• The display shows the on/off status of each part.

Using the Song Bank

Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start play of the
Song Bank Tune.
• Only the part (melody or accompaniment) that is
turned on is played, so you can play the other part on
the keyboard.
• You can press the RIGHT ON/OFF and LEFT ON/
OFF buttons to turn parts on and off while playback
is in progress.

To end playback, press the STOP button.
Auto-accompaniment Tunes (Tune Numbers 00 to 80)
During playback of these tunes in the Song Bank Mode, the
chord specification method for the left hand is always
FINGERED for these tunes.
Two-hand Tunes (Tune Numbers 81 to 99)
During playback of these tunes in the Song Bank Mode, the
entire keyboard functions as a melody.
NOTE
• With two-hand tunes (81 to 99), you cannot turn off both
the left-hand and right-hand parts at the same time.
• The selected Song Bank tune continues to repeat until
you stop playback by pressing the STOP button.
• The accompaniment volume setting (page E-21) affects
auto-accompaniment tunes (00 to 80) only.
• Chord names are not displayed during playback of two-
hand tunes (81 to 99).
• Turning off both the left-hand and right-hand parts of
the auto-accompaniment tunes (00 to 80) results in
obbligato accompaniment being played.
