Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside the kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and stop using the kettle.

- Page 4 1)The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electri- cal rating of the appliance. 2)If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord. 3)The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
- Page 5 BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you should clean your kettle before use by boiling water at the Max capacity once and then rinsing with water twice. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
- Page 6 BOIL-DRY PROTECTION Should you accidentally operate the kettle without water, this function will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool prior to filling with cold water and re-boiling. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and cool it down completely before cleaning.
