- Page 3 Advice from the experts The Lamborghini Miura features a transverse mid-mounted V12 engine, with the crankshaft axis perpendicular to the direction of travel. Some of the engine parts will be referred to as left and right in the build instructions, though the engine will be mounted transversely.
