Some tips for perfect toasting Toasting is a combination of cooking and drying bread. As moisture levels differ from one bread to another, toasting times can vary. For slightly dry bread, use a lower browning setting. For fresh bread or whole meal bread, use a higher setting. Bread products with a very uneven surface (such as English muffins) will require a higher setting or press the BAGEL button for perfect results.
