SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR
CHARGER AND BATTERIES
1. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual contains important safety
and operating instructions for Porter-Cable Battery Charger.
2. Before using a battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary
markings on (1) battery charger, (2) battery pack, and (3) product using
battery.
3.
To reduce risk of injury, a Porter-Cable charger should only
be used to charge a Porter-Cable battery pack. Other types of batteries may
burst causing personal injury and damage. Do not charge a Porter-Cable
battery pack with any other charger.
4.
Do not expose charger to rain, snow or frost.
5.
Do not abuse cord. Never carry charger by cord or yank it to disconnect
from receptacle. Pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting
charger. Have damaged or worn power cord and strain reliever replaced
immediately. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR POWER CORD.
6.
Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over,
or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
7.
Do not use an extension cord unless absolutely necessary. Use of
improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock. If
an extension cord must be used, make sure:
A. That the pins on plug of extension cord are the same number, size
and shape as those of plug on charger.
B. That the extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical
condition.
