    1 Introduction 1.1 Foreword The Altus NR2 can be used with SurvCE. The Altus NR2 driver is included in SurvCE versions from 4.02 onwards however, Septentrio recommends to use version 5.02 or above. Using any Windows Mobile data collector, download the executable (SurvCE_WindowsMobile.exe) for installation.

    2 Install SurvCE/SurvPC 2.1 Before installation Make sure the PIN code on the micro SIM card to be used in the Altus NR2 has been deactivated. The easiest way to do this is by inserting the SIM card into a phone then deactivating it.

    Open SurvCE, select a new job and name it. Select the appropriate job settings and continue without connecting to the device. Note that the unit may appear as APS-NR2 when using older versions of the Altus NR2 rmware Figure 3-1: Job setup SurvCE...
  • Page 7 3.2 Bluetooth connection to the Altus NR2 In the ‘Equip’ tab, select ‘GPS Rover’ to open the Rover setup menu. In the ‘Current’ tab, select ‘Septentrio’ then ‘Altus NR2’. Click on the ‘Comms’ tab and select ‘Bluetooth’ and ‘Find Devices’ to search for available Bluetooth devices.

In the RTK Tab, select Internal GSM then click on the con gure icon to the right of it. Click on the green arrow check button when complete.
  • Page 9 Click on the green arrow check button to complete the RTK setup. To check the con guration, click on ‘Monitor SkyPlot’ in the Equip menu. This will show the Altus NR2 in RTK mode if the setup was performed properly.
