    User Manual Backup and Restore HortiMaX-Go! Introduction to this manual Welcome to the Backup and Restore User Manual for the HortiMaX-Go! (Firmware 2.6.1 and higher). This manual was originally published in Dutch. Introduction The HortiMaX-Go! is an affordable, user-friendly control computer designed specifically for the horticultural sector.

    User Manual Backup and Restore HortiMaX-Go! General This chapter contains more information about the Backup and Restore function for the HortiMaX-Go! Basic concept − The backup and restore function is only available on the unit itself. − The system uses the current HortiMaX-Go! log file system. This is called the backup file in this document.

Screen layout The main screen of the HortiMaX-Go! is the Home screen. The Home screen display a number of fixed elements, such as the tiles, the top bar and the right sidebar.

    User Manual Backup and Restore HortiMaX-Go! Memory device The backup files are stored on a USB flash memory stick. This stick must be preformatted using one of the following file systems FAT/FAT32/etx2/etx3/etx4. Most USB memory sticks are preformatted with FAT32. Do not use USB hard drives, since the power output of the unit may not be sufficient for a disk.
  • Page 9 Step 3 The content of the right sidebar changes. Tap the USB Backup icon. Step 4 Confirm that you want to backup the settings. Step 5 The program prompts you to insert a USB memory stick into the backup port. You do not need to re-insert the USB stick if one has already been inserted.

    Restore function Step 1 First go to the USB menu, as described earlier. The right sidebar changes. Tap the USB Restore icon. Step 2 Confirm that you want to restore settings. Step 3 The program now warns you that that all settings from the backup will be restored, overwriting all current settings.
  • Page 12 User Manual Backup and Restore HortiMaX-Go! Step 5 The program now informs you that the backup is ready to be restored and that this will occur when the system is rebooted. Once this message is displayed, you have 15 minutes to reboot your system in order to restore your backup data.
