Switch off water softening
If the refilling salt indicator bothers
you, for example if you use a
combined dishwasher detergent with
a salt component, you can switch off
the softening salt indicator.
Remark
To avoid damage to the
appliance, only switch off the
water softening in the following
cases:
†The water hardness is maximum
times 21 °dH and you use a
combined dishwasher detergent
with salt substitutes. According to
the manufacturer's instructions,
combined dishwasher detergents
with salt substitutes can only be
used up to a degree of hardness of
21 °dH without adding softening
salt.
†The water hardness is 0 - 6
°dH. You do not need to use
softening salt.

Regenerate the softening
system
In order to maintain trouble-free
operation of the water softening system,
the device regularly performs a
regeneration of the water softening
system.
The softening system is regenerated in
all programs before the end of the
main wash cycle. This increases the
running time and consumption values
of, for example, water and electricity.

The stated consumption values are
laboratory measured values which
are determined according to the
currently valid standard and on the
basis of the Eco 50° program and the
factory-set water hardness value of 13
- 16 °dH.
Rinse System

For optimal drying results it is best
to use the rinse aid.
Only use rinse aid for household
dishwashers.
