TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Service and Repair should only be performed by Lincoln Electric Factory Trained Personnel. Unauthorized repairs performed on

safety and to avoid ELECTRICAL SHOCK, please observe all safety notes and precautions detailed throughout this manual.
PROBLEMS / SYMPTOM(S)
MOTOR DOES NOT START.
MOTOR HUMS, BUT NO
SUCTION.
MOTOR STOPS
AUTOMATICALLY
POOR SUCTION.
DUST OR SMOKE COMING OUT
OF OUTLET.
VIBRATIONS IN THE MACHINE.

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
No input power.
Input cord maybe damaged.
Loose Contacts
Starter/overload switch
damaged or defective.
Motor maybe damaged or
defective.
Motor capacitor defective or not
connected.
Motor overload protection
activated.
Motor defective or damaged
Leakage.
Outlet grid blocked.
Air path in arm blocked.
Filter blocked (check
Maintenance Indicator).
Spark arrester blocked.
Blower fan blocked.
Fan seal damaged.
Filter damaged, or not seated
correctly.
Imbalance in the fan.
RECOMMENDED COURSE(S) OF ACTION
Verify 120VAC/60Hz, 1ph or 230VAC/50Hz, 1ph input power
at the machine
Check the integrity of the input cord
Check the contacts.
