Our products are built for use based on
proper installation and normal residential
use, on level ground. Please follow the
instruction manual when building your
Cabana and retain the manual for future
maintenance purposes.
Some of the safety and usage measures you may wish to consider include:
-snow load ratings vary by geographical location. If heavy or wet snowfall occurs, it is advisable to sweep the
snow off the roof(s).
-if the product is elevated, any structural and building code requirements are solely the customer's
responsibility, and should be abided by.
-in high or gusty wind conditions it is advisable to keep the structure securely grounded.
-have a regular maintenance plan to ensure screws, doors, windows and parts are tight.

  • Page 8 Bottom Wall Plate Starting with Solid Wall Panels, carefully lay panel face down. Position and attach Wall Plate to bottom of wall studs of each wall panel with 3 - 2 1/2” screws. Position so plates are flush with framing. Starting at Rear Corner, position a Solid Wall Panel on top of plywood floor.
  • Page 9 Position rear solid wall into place on plywood floor. Butt both vertical wall studs of side and rear walls together and attach with 3- 2 1/2” screws. Screw at the bottom, middle and top of stud to secure properly. Optional - Caulking seams will help prevent moisture from entering at seam.
  • Page 10 Next, complete all side wall panel attachments. Typically, Window Wall Panel is positioned in front. Attach wall studs together as per Step 17. Wall panel will sit flush with plywood at front of shed. Complete all remaining side wall attachments. Attach wall studs together as per Step 17. Locate Window Insert.
  • Page 11 Place Window Wall Panel in front. Make sure top Wall framing is aligned together as illustrated and attach as per Step 17. Position and attach Narrow Wall Panel to left side wall stud with 3 - 2 1/2” screws as per Step 17. Note, Narrow Wall is 73”...
  • Page 12 Position and attach the Door Header to Door Jamb and Narrow Wall Panel top framing. Header should sit flush with Door Jamb and Outside of Narrow Wall Panel Siding. Attach with 4 - 2 1/2” screws. When all walls are attached together, check alignment with the floor.
  • Page 13 Position Front and Rear Top Plates on top of wall studs so it is flush on the inside with 2x3 wall framing. There are 3 pieces of Front Top Plates (2 angle cut /1 end pieces and 1 middle straight cut /both ends). Together, the plates should be centered evenly on the wall left to right.
  • Page 14 Rear Top Plates . Position the Rear Top Plates on rear wall top framing to complete. Use 4 - 2” screws per piece. Male / Female Wall Notched at top Lapp Siding Flashing Locate Gable 1/2 Walls for both sides of the shed.
  • Page 15 Gable Framing flush with Top Plate Lift up a completed gable section and place on top of Rear Top Plate on wall. The rear gable framing should sit flush with the inside of the top plate. Gable Framing straight edge The gable should be centered sideways (left to right) on the top plate.

  • Page 17 Ridge Board 2 1/2” Screws Locate 9 Rafters, 2 Soffits and completed into Doubled up Rafters Ridge Board. Lay out on level ground as shown to the right. Double up Rafters as illustrated. Screw doubled up Rafters together with 3 - 2 1/2” screws per piece. Note, completed rafter section will be flipped over in Step 38.
  • Page 18 Starting with one side, lift completed rafter section up. (make sure Soffit is facing down). Soffit Rafter should rest on gable framing Gable Notch Slide Rafter Section up on gable framing gable framing until bottom of Ridge Board slips into gable notch.
  • Page 19 Place 2nd completed Rafter Section on gable wall framing. Position as per Steps 38 & 40. Offsetting Metal Ridge Board Connectors Gable Notch At the peak, align Ridge Boards so they are flush together and secure them with 12 - 1 1/4” screws. Important- if there is a gap between Ridge Boards, try pushing side walls closer together from outside.
  • Page 20 1 Strong Tie on Doubled Up Rafters Attach Simpson Strong Ties (22 degree bend) to Top Wall framing and plates and also to the underside of the rafters. Use 4 - 1 1/4” screws to secure. There are 5 Ties per side. Have two helpers push the side walls at the top from the outside of shed until inside to inside measurement between the side plates is 91”.
  • Page 21 1 - 2 1/2” Screw in Bottom Row of Shingles Angle Screw from Rafter into Batten. Roof Batten flush with rafter end. Place Roof Panel so it sits flush on 3rd rafter from the outside (doubled up rafter). Lowest batten on roof should be flush with end of rafter at bottom.
  • Page 22 Middle Panel Outside Panel Outside Panel Position and attach Front Roof Panels Make sure to attach Roof Panels as per Steps 48-51. down to Rafters as shown above. Attach above the exposure line. Exposure Line Roof Filler Shingles are included to cover Screw first filler shingle down to rafters roof seams.
  • Page 23 Angle screwed 3 - 2 1/2” screws angle screwed in each Mid Rafter To further secure roof panels, from the inside, drill pilot holes in each Mid Rafters (3 per Rafter) on an angle. Using 3 - 2 1/2” screws, secure rafters to roof battens. Note, from outside, push roof panel down so batten sit flush against rafter when securing.

  • Page 25 Position Wide Trim (1/2” x 4 1/2” x 82”) over Filler Trim and to cap Narrow Trim. Align Wide Trim at bottom with Narrow Trim so flush with each other. Secure trim with 8 - 1 1/4” finishing nails.Complete remaining corner trims.
  • Page 26 Pentagon Facia Plate Attach Pentagon Facia Plate where End Facia meets at the peak. Use 4 - 1 1/4” finishing nails per piece to secure. Attach Side Facia to roof rafter ends. There are 2 Facia pieces per side. Secure with 8 - 1 1/4” finishing nails per piece.

Horizontal Gable Trim Detail Plates are 4 1/2” high while Facia Trim Detail Plates are 3 1/2” high. Secure each with 4 - 1 1/4” finishing nails per piece.
