4 Connect the alarm cable and RS485 cable. It is recommended the diameter of
the alarm cable core ranges from 24 AWG to 28 AWG.

After cables are connected, check whether the camera is powered on and connected to the network in

Insulate the cable connectors using insulation tape.
Wrap one layer only. Stretch the waterproof tape evenly
to twice its original length. Then apply one layer of

Use the insulation tape to protect the

secure the both ends.

Cover the rest of the cabling in a conduit or with

protective waterproof rubber tape. Make a drip loop as
shown below to create an artificial lowest point of the
cable.

弯。滴水弯呈倒 Ω 型，形成线缆的最低点。

• Waterproof and insulate all cables including
power cables, network cables, and unused pigtail
cables.
电源线、网线等所有的线缆，包括未使用的尾线都需
要做防水绝缘处理。
• Before that, check the cabling and ensure that the
camera runs normally to avoid reworkings.
做绝缘防水处理前请检查线缆是否接好并可正常工作，
避免二次返工。
• The waterproof tape must cover the cable bundle
from the insulation sheath all the way to the
cable conduit (for example, a PVC tube). The tape
must be wrapped tightly and there must be no
gaps in the coverage or water will leak in.
防水胶带务必从线缆束绝缘外皮开始缠绕至防护皮管
（如 PVC 管），且尽量缠紧，且覆盖到位，以免漏水。
• If a corrugated pipe is installed, a drainage hole
should be deployed at the lowest point of the
pipe to prevent water from getting into the pipe.
Long-term soaking may cause pigtail damage.
若安装波纹管，请在波纹管的最低点做排水孔处理，
避免波纹管内积水，导致摄像机尾线长期浸泡导致损
坏。
