Laying the boundary wire

Min 2m
Keep the wire straight for at least the first
2m. This is to allow the mower to return to
the charging stand with ease.
The perimeter wire must be kept tight. If it is
loose it may well end up being cut by the
mower as it passes over it.
Place the pegs at intervals of about 1m on
straight and even ground, 30cm to 50cm on
bends and corners. Uneven ground and
obstacles will require more pegs.
If the wire passes over a moderate dip in the
lawn, more pegs will be required to keep the
wire firmly pegged at ground level, or it risks
being cut.
