O The programmed contents will be held
in memory even after programmed
playback has been completed or when
programmed playback is stopped by
pressing the stop [∑] button.
O When the stop [∑] button is pressed in
the stop mode, the contents of the
program are erased.
O If tracks with numbers higher than 20
are programmed , either the REMAIN
time or TOTAL REMAIN time may not
appear in the display.
O To release the program mode, press the
[program] button, [delete] button, or
[single] button.
∑ Delete programming
This is the opposite to normal program-
ming, and is used to program tracks which
are not to be played. Use it when there are
tracks on the disc you don't want to listen
to.
O When the [delete] button is pressed
during playback, the track currently
playing is not deleted.
O Programming a "pause" in the delete
program mode is not possible.
1. Press the stop [∑] button.
2. Press the [delete] button.
The DELETE indicator lights.
O The display shows the total number of
tracks and total playback time of the
disc.
3. Press
the
numeric
corresponding to the track numbers
which you don't want to listen to in the
same way as in normal programming.

4. Press the play [∏] button.
Delete -programmed playback starts.
O If the program includes track number
"21" or later, the total playback time is
not indicated.
O When the player stops after completing
delete-programmed playback or when
the player stops by pressing the stop
[∑] button, the delete-programmed data
is retained.
O Pressing the [delete] button releases
the delete mode and erases the
program data.
O Pressing the stop [∑] button when the
player is stopped will clear the delete-
program memory.
∑ Checking the programmed
contents
The programmed contents can be checked
easily using the [check] button.
Each time the [check] button is pressed,
the track number and its total playback
time appear in the programmed order.
O When checking the programmed
contents, the total program playback
time is displayed regardless of the time
mode indication.
O If the total playback time exceeds 100
minutes, the 10's digit of the minutes
display will show one of the following
codes:

(no display) ...........15
The above example , therefore, shows 102
buttons
minutes 30 seconds.
O If the total program time exceeds 150
minutes, there will be no code. When
playback starts, the minutes display will
show a number which is the total
program playback time minus 160.
O To check the delete program, press the
[check] button. The deleted tracks are
displayed in numerical order in the
TRACK display.

∑ Changing the program

After programming is complete, unnec-
essary tracks can be deleted from the
original program or new tracks can be
added after a track originally programmed,
in the following way.
∑ Addition
1. When the PROGRAM indicator is lit,
press the [check] button to indicate the
track number in the display.
2. To add new tracks to a program, input
the track number using the numeric
buttons (this can even be done after
starting programmed playback); the
track is added after the indicated track
which was previously programmed.
3. To add a track to be deleted, specify
the track number you want to delete by
using the numeric buttons.
∑ Deletion
1. Press the [check] button to display the
track number to be deleted, then press
the [clear] button.
O The track number displayed will be
deleted and the next track advances up.
2. Repeat the same steps to delete other
track numbers. However, a track being
played back cannot be deleted.
3. When deleting delete-programmed
tracks (so they can be played back
again), press the [check] button to
display the track number to be deleted
then press the [clear] button.
