Anti-Tip Bar: This bar acts to prevent the vacuum from going

and not fall forward.

Set up and Operation

Please note that all VORTEC Beasts are tested prior to shipment. Each system has 5W30 oil installed. It
is recommended to check engine oil and fill with oil as required prior to each day's use. Refer to
HONDA's engine manual for recommendations regarding oil use and timing to change.
The HONDA GX V-Twin engine has an Oil Alert System. The Oil Alert System will automatically stop the
engine before the oil level falls below the safe limit. However, to avoid the inconvenience of an
unexpected shutdown, fill to the upper limit, and check the oil level regularly.

System Set-Up:

1. Periodically check all fasteners for tightness. Due to the natural vibration associated with
vacuums, some fasteners may become loose over time.
2. Obtain appropriate protective equipment.
3. Set system on a dry, level surface.
Note: The incline position of the engine should not exceed 20 degrees in any direction. If it
does, oil can mix with the gas causing harm to the engine.
4. Attached vacuum hose to the inlet using a hose clamp.
Note: It is highly recommended to use a VORTEC
vacSHIELD when using the VORTEC Beast. Install the
vacuum hose to the inlet of the vacSHIELD. Then,
connect a piece of vacuum hose from the vacSHIELD's
outlet to the vacuum's inlet (you can cut a short section
from your main vacuum hose, or purchase a short section
of hose to meet this need).
5. Attach hose or vacuum bag to the machine's outlet using a hose clamp.
