alerting motorists of approaching police cruisers, ambulances, and other emergency rescue vehicles. It
certainly is one tough siren that provides the operator years of reliable service.

Of course, what makes the SA-400 C the premium full featured siren goes further than just its

rugged design, it also includes the following high-end features:
- Splash Resistant Face:
Designed to keep liquids from entering the internal circuitry, the siren
includes a bezel between the front panel and the label that extends just beyond where the chassis and
cover meet. Additionally, there are no open holes on the face. All of the openings for the controls are pro-
tected from liquids seeping in from accidental spills.
- DIP Switch Programmable:
Flexible DIP Switch programming allows the installer to sample differ-
ent settings before selecting desired functions. Options include disabling Phaser and Air Horn to be
California Title 13 compatible, replacing Phaser with Two-Tone/HiLo, selecting Horn Ring Cycler 2 opera-
tion through the auxiliary input or Siren button, setting the auxiliary input polarity, and selecting Short
Manual.
- LED Backlighting:
Just as incandescent lights in a regular lamp burn out regularly, an incandescent
bulb in a siren has a limited life and often fails. LEDs used for backlighting are designed to last the life of
the product and never burn out or need to be changed.
- Quick-Snap Fastener:
The secure fastener makes it easy to open and close the siren by using a
pressure connection between the chassis and cover holding them together. The siren requires no tools to
open it up or screws that can easily get lost.
