Removing All Mop Pads
1. Unplug hard floor cleaner.
2. Step on foot release for mop pad tray and
lift machine off tray. Be sure to use caution as
the mop pad and mop pad tray may be hot.
3. Carefully remove the mop pad from the mop
pad tray.
a. For washable mop pads, use the Quick
Release Tab to pull mop pad off tray. The
washable mop pad can be machine washed in
warm water. Use only liquid detergents. Do not
use fabric softeners or bleach. For best results,
air dry.
b. For disposable mop pads, lift up release tab
on the side of the disposable map pad tray
and remove dirty pad. Dispose of dirty pad in
waste basket. Do not flush.
Emptying the Dirt Tank
The dirt tank needs to be emptied when the dirt
reaches the 'Full' line on the side of the tank.
1. Unplug hard floor cleaner.
2. Remove the dirt tank from the machine
by moving the lock lever on the front of the
machine to the left.
3. Hold the tank over a waste basket. Press the
bottom lid release lever on the back of the tank
to empty.
4. Symphony™ Pet models feature a built-in
Drop-It™ Hands-Free Emptying System to easily
empty any stuck-in debris and pet hair without
getting your hands dirty.
a. Find the color rod in the middle of the
vacuum filter that's attached to the top of
the tank.
b. Pull the rod up and lock in
place by turning it clockwise.
c. Push down on the rod to easily push out
any stuck-in debris or pet hair.
d. When done, pull the rod back up and
rotate counter-clockwise and push it down
to return it to its original position.
5. Mount the dirt tank back on the vacuum base
and push the lock lever to the right until it is
centered on the front of the machine.
NOTE: The dirt tank may be washed in warm
water with a mild detergent. Make sure it is
completely dry before replacing.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock,
turn power OFF and disconnect
polarized plug from electrical outlet
before performing maintenance or
troubleshooting checks.

CAUTION
Upright storage of the cleaner with
a wet mop pad may result in the
formation of white marks on your fl oor.
To remove the white marks, clean area
with vinegar.
