volume is low.
The tape does not go in. /
No sound can be heard even
though the tape display is made.
The sound quality is poor or
distorted.
Can't remove tape.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The Attenuator function is turned on.
The fader and/or balance settings are set all the way to
one side.
The input/output cables or wiring harness are connected
incorrectly.
The cassette tape is bad.
The values of Volume offset are low.
The car ignition was turned off during tape eject; or the
tape was pulled out during loading, switching the mode
to tape mode even though no tape is in.
The tape head is dirty.
A speaker cable may be pinched by a screw in the car.
The speakers are not wired correctly.
The cause is that more than 10 minutes has elapsed
since the vehicle ACC switch was turned OFF.
Turn off the Attenuator function.
Reset the fader and/or balance settings.
Reconnect the input/output cables and/or the wiring
harness correctly. See the section on "Connecting
Cables to Terminals".
Try playing another cassette tape. If no problem is
experienced, the first tape was bad.
Increase the values of Volume offset. (see p. 8)
Press the Eject button.
Clean the tape head, referring to the section on
"Cleaning the tape head" (see page 4).
Check the speaker wiring.
Reconnect the speaker cables so that each output
terminal is connected to a different speaker.
The tape can only be removed within 10 minutes of the
ACC switch being turned OFF. If more than 10 minutes
has elapsed, turn the ACC switch ON again and press
the Eject button.
