FITTING GUIDELINES FOR: CLAYTON. (These guidelines consist of 14 pages) Important: Safety and Technical. Important. Please read all these guidelines and diagrams before commencing any installation. This fireplace should be installed by an experienced, suitably qualified, and competent fireplace fitter.
The consequences of failure of a fireplace incorrectly installed and secured are extremely serious. It is essential that the fireplace is installed and secured to withstand foreseeable abuse such as a child pulling down on a cantilevered shelf etc. ...

This fireplace has parts that are irregular in shape and above 25kg in weight, therefore installation is recommended for more than one person or suitable lifting equipment to be used. Types of fires suitable for the Clayton model. Closed burning multi fuel, or wood burning stoves manufactured to CE standards of compatible size...
Important: The dimensions between the internal surfaces of the legs and side chambers are different between the 1524mm, 1372mm and 1220mm Clayton models, refer to drawing shown on page 9. 1) With suitable testing equipment check for live electrical cables or gas pipes and any other obstructions or connections that maybe obscured to the area of intended fireplace chamber installation.

Failure to ensure level and square ness to all parts will be problematic as the chamber parts will not fit correctly, so it is imperative great care is taken with this stage. 8) Important note: Checks must be made by the installer to ensure that the stove being installed does not exceed a temperature of no more than 65 degrees above ambient temperature Celsius from the underside of the stove to the hearth as this will affect the materials that can be used for the hearth and rear base and the requirement for thermal expansion joints to hearth.

Beam with dowel fixings. Important: Ensure that any chimney register plate is not fixed or touching the beam or any fireplace part. a) Place the beam on top of the fireplace legs and top header into correct position. b) Mark the position of both beam fixing dowels and brackets, also mark the outline of beam to the wall.
