- Page 3 REPAIRING THE DEFENDER SERIES OVERFILL PREVENTION VALVE SHELL ® The shells of some Franklin Fueling Systems Defender Series Overfill Prevention ® Valves (OPVs) are glued. If you have one of these OPVs and the glue has come free, use the following procedure to install screws to hold the OPV shell in place.
- Page 4 5. Re-install the shell. Align the holes in the shell with the countersunk holes in the OPV body. 6. Use the metal punch to carefully dimple (or press or form) the OPV shell into the countersunk holes in the OPV body. This allows you to countersink the screws when you install them.
