INDICATIONS
Philips air hoses are intended for use by, or
under the supervision of, a licensed physician
or other healthcare provider for the non-
invasive measurement of neonatal, pediatric,
and adult human blood pressure.

ENGLISH WARNINGS
• Use neonatal and infant #5 cuffs only with
hoses designated for Neonatal use (see
cover and Select Appropriate Hose).
• Use pediatric and adult cuffs only with
hoses designated for Adult use (see cover
and Select Appropriate Hose).
• Hoses are not designed to be sterilized. Do
not autoclave.
• Prevent cleaning/lubricating fluids from
entering hose. Fluids can damage monitor
equipment.
• Lubricate the cuff-end connector of
M1598B, M1599B, Mobile CL, and Efficia
hoses with a non-silicone spray release
agent when it becomes difficult to connect
to cuffs. Do not lubricate the instrument-
end connectors. Do not lubricate the
connectors for the M1596C and M1597C
hoses.
• Philips NIBP air hoses use connectors
which have the potential to misconnect
with small-bore connectors used in non-
NIBP healthcare applications. When using
the Philips NIBP air hoses, ensure that
connectors are properly connected to
Philips NIBP devices only.
