  • Page 4 A S S E M B L Y Your lift chair may require some assembly before initial use. It may also require disassembly to make servicing the chair more convenient. If your lift chair is a Knock-Down (KD) model, follow the instructions in “Lift Chair Setup.”...

Figure A LIFT CHAIR PLACEMENT Your lift chair should be placed near a standard electrical outlet on dry, level ground where there is ample room to allow for proper operation.
  • Page 6 A S S E M B L Y - Batteries not included. 2-9 V olt back-up batteries will operate the chair from the reclined position to the seating position. The batteries will operate one cycle in case of a power failure. If a power faillure occurs and the chair is cycled, the 2-9 volt batteries will need to be replaced once a year or after they are used once.
