To replace the power supply for the Emerson PD6900:

For AC Operation:
1. Disconnect the AC power cord from the unit.
2. Plug the smaller end of the AC cord into the AC socket on the back of the unit.
3. Insert the plug into a 120V 60Hz household AC outlet.
4. Ensure the wide blade of the plug matches the wide slot in the outlet and insert fully for safety.

For Battery Operation:
1. Disconnect the AC power cord (battery power activates automatically when the cord is removed).
2. Open the battery door.
3. Insert 8 UM-2 (size C) batteries.
4. Replace all batteries when the volume decreases or sound distorts.

    FOR BETTER RECEPTION Extend the telescopic antenna. NOTE : 1.) If you are listening to an FM Stereo station and the FM MODE switch is set to STEREO, the STEREO indicator will appear in the display. 2.) When too much noise is heard during FM STEREO reception, set FM MODE switch to MONO position.
