Checking the currently playing program source, etc.
When an operation is performed on the remote control unit, that operation appears on the display, making it possible to check the operation
visually.
The set's operating status can also be checked on the display using the procedure described below.

Recording the program source

Follow steps 1 to 3 under "Playing the program source"
(page 14).
Simultaneous recording
The signals of the source selected with the function selector button are output simultaneously to the CDR/TAPE and VCR REC OUT jacks.
If a total of two tape and/or video decks are connected and set to the recording mode, the same source can be recorded simultaneously
on every decks.

Front panel display
• Descriptions of the unit's operations are also displayed on
the front panel display. In addition, the display can be
switched to check the unit's operating status while playing a
source by pressing the STATUS button.

Using the dimmer function
• Use this to change the brightness of the display.
The display brightness changes in four steps (bright,
medium, dim and off) by pressing the main unit's DIMMER
button repeatedly.

The brightness changes in 3 steps each time the button is
pressed, and finally the display turns off.

Start recording on the tape or video deck.
