1.2 GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION The Resqtec equipment is designed to provide safe operation. All users should read and be thoroughly familiar with the operating instructions and safety precautions stated in this manual. Operator safety depends on users being properly trained by the Authority having jurisdiction and using the equipment for its intended purposes only. -

The Q1 is a double-acting hydraulic product designed to be driven by a Resqtec hydraulic pump. It is a very compact cutter, which can be operat- ed by one or two persons. Its blades can rotate 180° to enable reaching places which are impossible to reach with conventional cutters. -

It is advisable to carry out regular maintenance; depending on the use at least every 3 months or 25 operating hours. When carrying out regular maintenance one should, in addition to the steps described in chapter 6.1, pay extra attention to the following: 6.2.1. Many years of safe use is guaranteed if the product is properly cared for and maintained. To this end the product must be inspected at least once a year. This must be carried out by a service technician trained by Resqtec who possesses the necessary tools and testing equipment. -

BEFORE USING THE Q1, BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING: • Resqtec equipment is designed for rescue/salvage operations only and may not be used for industrial purposes. • Do not try to perform tasks that exceed the specifications of the particular product. The specifications clearly define the product capabilities. -
