Notes on powering on

• This unit operates under the control of the hybrid recorder. When
beginning operation, power this unit on before powering on the hybrid
recorder. If this unit is powered on afterwards, it will not be recognized
by the hybrid recorder.
• While this unit is operating, do not power off either this unit or the hybrid
recorder.
Powering off while the unit is operating may result in damage not only to
this hard disk drive but also to the hard disk drive of the hybrid recorder.
• After powering this unit off, ensure that at least 20 seconds elapses before
powering on again. If powered off and on again without a pause, the
power drop detection function may be triggered, in which case the
ALARM indicator will light.
