Shoulder strap
► Put on the shoulder strap (1).
► Adjust the length of the strap.
► With the power tool attached, the carabiner (2)
must be at about the same height as your right
hip.

3 Stop switch with Run and 0 = Stop positions.
15.1.1
Function of stop switch and ignition
system
The stop switch is normally in the Run position,
i.e. when it is not depressed: The ignition is
switched on – the engine is ready to start. If the
stop switch is moved to the 0 position, the igni‐
tion is switched off. The ignition is switched on
again automatically after the engine stops.

Starting the Engine
► Press the manual fuel pump bulb (4) at least
five times – even if the bulb is filled with fuel.
15.2.1
Cold engine (cold start)
► Press in the choke knob (5) and turn it to g
at the same time.
15.2.2
Warm engine (warm start)
► Press in the choke knob (5) and turn it to < at
the same time.
Also use this setting if the engine has been run‐
ning but is still cold.

Cranking
► Remove the chain guard.
